One Big Mop is a fast growing film production company. Set up in 2012 by writer and director James Everett, One Big Mop became a three way partnership when producer Paul Olavesen-Stabb and executive producer Anna Armstrong joined the company in 2016.
One Big Mop has made four short films to date, all of differing genres. Our last film Dreaming of Peggy Lee starring Aryana Engineer (Orphan / Resident Evil 5) played over 40 film festivals and won multiple awards including Best Short Film at the prestigious Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. Dreaming of Peggy Lee also qualified to be considered for both BAFTA and Oscar nominations 2017.
Our prior film, I’ll Be Home Soon starring Moa Khouas (Rendition) and Agata Buzek (Hummingbird) played over 30 film festivals and also qualified for the Oscars Jury 2016. One Big Mop's brand new short, The Darkness of the Moor is a horror film that is also a prequel to our first feature film project The Moor, which has been optioned for production by Goldcrest Films (Twilight, Captain Philips, Gandhi).
